Vinnie Russo Memorial

For the past three years, Vinnie Russo has supported the Queen Creek 4-H Teen & Leadership project. If you've attended any of Vinnie's customer appreciation parties, you may recall the youth members working to ensure you had a great time! The primary goals of this program are to build confidence and responsibility in our youth, creating good citizens for our future.
Members participate in activities designed for them to learn the importance of helping individuals, the community, and their peers. Statistics bear out that children participating in community service are far more likely to continue these efforts into adulthood. From food drives to trash pick-up to becoming super-shoppers for "Angel Tree" toys and clothes, these kids have done some amazing things. They have an annual over-night retreat, where they learn leadership, mentoring, and team-work skills, as well as discuss topics important to teens today (abstinence, alcohol, drugs, "cutting", etc).
Donations will be used to fund local overnight retreats, national leadership events, and other activities. Additionally, the Teen & Leadership activities involve donating back to the community food, clothing, and toys.
